On the Role of the State and the Church
The Catholic state and the Catholic Church must be unified in their goals: the "Throne" & the "Altar" ought to be separate institutions, but so closely allied, that together they further the goal of the rejuvenation of the blood and spirit of the nation almost as if they are one.
Whilst the primary goals of the state must be the good order and governance of society, the rejuvenation of the blood of the nation and people, and the suppression of immorality and opposition, and the goal of the Church is the salvation of souls, these two goals must be so intertwined as to make the state responsible also for helping to save souls and the Church responsible also for the rejuvenation of the nation.
